Joe and I met our junior year in college at the University of Wyoming. We were both studying to become elementary educators and happen to hang out with just the right people to cross paths. Immediately we knew we had some sort of connection in different ways. Of course the first moment I met him he was wearing a Boston Red Sox hat so I had to criticize it because I love my Yankees; and from then on our relationship grew through rivalry and love.
Joe had the sweetest proposal!! We were at the Christmas parade in Cheyenne with my family. About 2 minutes before the parade started we got all bundled up and Joe, knowing how much I love Christmas and being with my family, reached into his pocket and said he had one Christmas present he wanted to give me a little early. At that moment my family surrounded us and took out their cameras. I got really confused but when I turned and looked at Joe he was down on his knee. I was in such shock I just started giggling. He asked and I said yes, but obviously too quiet under my excitement because he said he didn't hear me answer. However, he slipped the ring on my finger and my whole family got to witness it! It was beautiful, romantic, and absolutely perfect! |
